The Enchanting Wonders of Icelandic Glacier Water

The Enchanting Wonders of Icelandic Glacier Water

Indsendt af Sarah Stara Elahi den

Iceland is a land of breathtaking landscapes but it’s also home to one of nature's purest and most extraordinary resources: glacier water. Glaciers are large masses of ice that forms over time from the accumulation and compaction of snow. It’s essentially a slow-moving river of ice.

Derived from these ancient ice formations, Icelandic glacier water captivates not only with its pristine quality but also with its abundance of minerals. It originates from ancient glaciers that have been forming for centuries. As these colossal ice formations gradually melt, the water cascades down through layers of volcanic hardened lava, naturally filtering, and enriching it with an array of minerals. This process results in water that is often free from pollutants and contaminants found in other water sources.

The minerals found in this liquid jewel include potassium, calcium, silica, and magnesium, among others. These trace elements are vital for maintaining optimal bodily functions, promoting hydration, and enhancing overall well-being. Magnesium aids in muscle relaxation, while calcium strengthens bones and teeth. Potassium helps regulate blood pressure, and silica contributes to healthier skin, hair, and nails.

Beyond its mineral content, Icelandic glacier water holds a neutral pH level, making it gentle and hydrating for all skin types.

It's important to note that while Icelandic glacier water is generally considered pure, it still undergoes purification and filtration processes to meet health and safety standards.

As we marvel at the wonders of Icelandic glacier water, let us not forget the importance of preserving these magnificent glaciers and their precious resources. Sustainable practices and responsible consumption can ensure that future generations continue to enjoy the remarkable benefits of this natural gem.

So, it’s no accident that we here at PIO use Icelandic glacier water. And that’s why I have developed the PIO arctic anti-pollution series. Products to help and heal skin damages which were caused by environmental damages.
